Laura Herman is co-owner and CEO of Insurance Marketing Agencies. She and her brother Peter are the third generation to own and run IMA, and she is responsible for guiding the company into the internet age. With over 40 years of experience in insurance and risk management, Laura is a seasoned leader with a deep expertise in the industry. Prior to becoming CEO in 2000, Laura served as the head of IMA’s risk placement/carrier marketing department for over a decade. In this role, she was able to leverage her deep knowledge of the carrier side of the industry, as well as the relationships cultivated during nearly a decade on the carrier side of the industry, to grow and deepen the carrier relationships that have been key in IMA’s evolution into a risk management partner for select commercial clients. A specialist in the construction, real estate and manufacturing industries, her leadership has been characterized by a deep commitment to offering the highest quality service. Her personal commitment to achieving sustainable growth by empowering her employees and supporting their growth are deeply ingrained in company culture and have become a hallmark of the agency’s long-standing success. In her free time, Laura is an avid golfer, devoted Patriots fan, and board member for the Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts.
