Laura Herman brings over 40 years of insurance and risk management experience, with a strong focus on the construction, real estate, and manufacturing sectors. Before becoming CEO of IMA in 2000, she led the firm’s risk placement and carrier marketing efforts, building key relationships that helped shape IMA into a trusted risk management partner. Her deep understanding of carrier operations—gained from nearly a decade on that side of the industry—has been especially valuable in serving complex construction clients. As part of the third generation to lead IMA, Laura has played a pivotal role in aligning the company’s expertise with the evolving needs of commercial industries.
Vice President
Mike Cali is VP of Sales at Insurance Marketing Agencies, responsible for growth and retention strategy. Mike’s extensive experience developing talent and building successful teams, combined with his philosophy on partnering with clients as individuals, uniquely position him to advance the agency’s commitment to insurance that’s personal. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Mike is an expert on Non-Profits, Manufacturing, Financial Institutions, Construction and Law Firms. Prior to joining IMA, Mike was a partner at the Insurance Resource Group of New England, and a VP at NFP. He is a graduate of UMass Boston, and earned his MBA at the Florida Institute of Technology.

In a career spanning almost 4 decades, she has developed deep expertise in all standard coverage types and specializes in the real estate and trucking industries. Maryann holds Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designations.
