Commercial Insurance Account Executive for Transportation

We are seeking a highly motivated, sales minded Account Executive that has a deep knowledge of the transportation industry.  Service a sizable volume of business with ease, understand coverage, endorsements, certificates of insurance, and thrive on cross selling to our clients.

A cornerstone of our agency is providing the right coverage for our clients.  Our Account Executives are expected to understand the markets and handle a majority of the renewal process.  Providing timely, accurate guidance and service to our commercial lines’ clients. 

We are looking for forward thinking Account Executives who can identify opportunities for account rounding, cross selling and up-selling thereby contributing to our transportation department production goals.  You will directly contribute to key business outcomes including client retention, client atisfaction, enhancing IMA’s value to our clients.

Occasional client travel may be required.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of commercial underwriting and the transportation industry

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

  • Well organized, detail-oriented, and a team player

  • Must be able to work independently and prioritize workflow to ensure completion of all tasks

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skills

  • Ability to work in and contribute to culture of teamwork and cooperation

  • Creativity valued as a key attribute

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

  • Property & Casualty license required (or willingness to obtain)

  • Possession of, or in pursuit of, professional insurance designations a plus

  • Minimum 5 years’ commercial insurance experience.
