Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for an insurance sales director to be responsible for managing policy sales and overseeing the sales and risk placement teams. The responsibilities of a Director of Sales include setting and monitoring sales goals, facilitating the professional development of the team, and providing customer support. Your relationship-building skill set will be put to use by creating new opportunities, fostering strong relationships with clients.
  • Setting and monitoring sales objectives. Holding all executives accountable.
  • Utilizing your negotiation and listening skills, you’ll be overcoming objections and winning back former clients. Contributing to meeting sales targets.
  • Using your excellent presentation skills, you’ll be working with clients to make sales presentations, cross-sell, and round out client accounts – while motivating and training the Sales Executives to do the same.
  • Create an open, collaborative environment with supportive leadership.
  • Ensure that departmental objectives are in alignment with overall business strategies and objectives.
  • Engage in training, development, and performance of the Sales and Risk Placement teams.
  • Drive process improvement to ensure efficient, consistent, and excellent client service.
  • Facilitate regular department meetings, while being a resource for technical expertise and coverage issues.
  • Participate in carrier meetings to keep current on appetite, insurance offerings and programs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

    • An Active Property & Casualty License is Required. 
    • 5+ Years Experience in Commercial & Personal Insurance Sales is Required.
    • Prior High Level Leadership responsibility.
    • Extremely Well Organized, Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and multitask. 
    • A critical thinker and out-of-the-box problem solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Must be a team player with the ability to be a leader.
    • Basic computer software knowledge including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Insurance designations a plus.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of Commercial & Personal lines underwriting and coverage(s).
    • Significant experience and knowledge of carrier rating systems.
    • Proficient in AMS360 (Preferred)

Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
